Magdalena Bay
Magdalena Bay has a shore of nearly 50 km. Like El vizcaino, Magdalena Bay is also a place who receives the grey whale during winter. The place is particularly intreresting since two oceanic currents meet at this point. The merging of the fresh current from the north Pacific and the tropical current from South America are the main cause of the bay's biodiversity.
The Marine life that can be found in this site is widely diverse. Squids, Tuna Fish, Huachinango, turtles and various shark species inhabit the bay. The main reason for such a large diversity is that the currents bring with them a large amount of nutrients and plancton towards this region. For this reason, various fishing tournaments take place in this site.
