In the prehistoric times, some scientist say that it was hunted by the megalodon sharks, which are now extinct.

The grey whale feeds mainly from crustaceans and by scooping up the sediments on the sea floor, this mammal makes one of the largest migrations of the natural world, Every year it travels from the Bering sea in Alaska towards el Vizcaino. This cetacean used to be abundant In the North Atlantic, particularly in region between Japan and the Kamchatka peninsulla, but it virtually became extinct due to Asian whale hunters. The current population of whales in this region is estimated in the area of 100.
